Job title: Electric motor technician
JOB SUMMARY
Klimek Electric Motor is looking for an experienced motor winder with the skills to rewind AC/DC electrical elevator motors and generators, dismantle and reassemble motors, etc. We can also provide the training for the right candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred minimum level of education: High School Diploma. Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
SKILLS
- Basic Mechanical aptitude.
- Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
- Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
- Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers.
- Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
- Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA
- Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting.
WORK PREFORMED
Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, various handheld power and non-power tools. Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye protection). Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor. Perform other skilled and non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

Job title: Helper
We are currently seeking to hire a helper for our motor and pump repair shop. This role would be to assist technicians in the cleaning, painting, testing, binning, partially disassembling of AC/DC motors and pumps.
SKILLS
Basic mechanical skills and the use of basic tools for work. If necessary, we can train you.
QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Assist in the maintenance of service truck tools, safety equipment, instruments, and materials, specific to pump, motor, and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the maintenance of required stock of pumps, parts, fittings, pipe and related material on the service truck.
- Performs cleaning, lubricating of tools as required.
- Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies, and the public.
- Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities.
- Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned.
