We understand the importance of quick turnaround times and minimizing downtime for our customers.

What is IMO pump?

An IMO pump refers to a type of positive displacement pump manufactured by the IMO Group. The IMO Group specializes in the design and production of rotary positive displacement pumps, typically used for pumping viscous and lubricating fluids in various industrial applications.  The term "IMO" stands for "Internal Gear Pump," which is a specific type of positive displacement pump that uses internal gears to create a pumping action. These pumps are known for their ability to handle a wide range of fluids, including oils, lubricants, fuels, chemicals, and other viscous liquids.  IMO pumps are often chosen for applications where precise flow rates, consistent pressure, and smooth operation are crucial. They are used in industries such as oil and gas, marine, power generation, chemical processing, and more, where reliable and efficient fluid transfer is essential.

A general overview of the reconstruction process for IMO Pumps in six steps:

  1. Initial Assessment: The reconstruction process for IMO Pumps begins with a thorough initial assessment. Skilled technicians closely examine the pump's components and identify visible signs of wear, damage, or degradation. This assessment serves as the foundation for the reconstruction process.
  2. Disassembly and Cleaning: Once the assessment is complete, the IMO Pump is meticulously disassembled. Each component, including the rotor, stator, bearings, and seals, is carefully removed. Parts are then thoroughly cleaned to eliminate any contaminants, residues, or impurities that could hinder performance.
  3. Component Evaluation: Disassembled components undergo a detailed evaluation to determine their condition. Technicians inspect critical elements such as the impeller, seals, and shaft for wear or damage. This evaluation helps guide decisions on repair, replacement, or reconditioning.
  4. Repair and Reconditioning: Components identified as damaged or worn undergo repair or replacement. Damaged seals, bearings, or impellers may be replaced with high-quality equivalents. Special attention is given to reconditioning to restore parts to their optimal working condition.
  5. Reassembly and Alignment: After repairs and replacements, the IMO Pump is skillfully reassembled. Technicians ensure proper alignment and positioning of components to guarantee smooth operation. Seals, bearings, and other parts are accurately installed for optimal efficiency.
  6. Testing and Performance Verification: The reconstructed IMO Pump undergoes rigorous testing to verify its performance and reliability. Various tests, including flow rate testing, pressure testing, and vibration analysis, are conducted to ensure the pump operates within designated parameters. Adjustments are made as needed to fine-tune its performance.

Throughout the entire reconstruction process, stringent quality control measures are implemented to meet or exceed industry standards. The goal is to restore the IMO Pump's efficiency, reliability, and functionality, allowing it to provide reliable pumping solutions in various industrial applications.

Warranty

Our company offers a one-year warranty against defects for all rewound units and a 90-day warranty for the reconditions only. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from neglect, abuse, accident or damage caused by fire, flood and extra ordinary conditions caused by man.
